Art show in July inspired by Hellboy.

Hi all. So I'm super excited about the next few months. Not just b-cuz it's beach season, cuz Lord knows I'm a frikin beach bum. Woo, boogie boardin'!!! I quit surfing, I'm too out of shape. :( lol Anyway, I am excited about the project I'm working on with some friends, and especially about the next art show I'm participating in. The show is called, "Let them eat Pancakes! The Hellboy Art Show!" This event will feature original Mignola art from the Hellboy comics, props and limited edition items from the Hellboy movies and, of course, original works from dozens of our favorite artists in the world of comics and design.

This week's animation for liquidgeneration.com

So, here's the development for the character that will be used in this week's animated short. Since the new hulk movie comes out this week, we figured we'd parody it. Keep an eye out for it on the main page, this Friday, it will most likely go up after 6-7 pm this Friday.

Lunchtime Caricature entertainment.

I'm trying to show Heri Sanchez, the art of theme park, retail caricatures for entertainment. He's a great artist, and he will be an awesome park sketch guy sooner than you can all say Dirty Sanchez!!! (heri's last name is Sanchez) LOL

Lindsey Leshan

Let me be the first to say it, Leshan, Lindsey Leshan. Enjoy it, until I get a cease and desist.

Sunday drawing goodness.

I was a bit distraught this weekend, although I do entertainment caricatures on saturdays, and that is a drawing, I sometimes feel sad when i don't draw in my sketchbook enough. I hang out at my parents house on the weekends. And I just sit around in the evening with them, and watch movies. As we do so, I sketch in my book, or paint stuff in photoshop on my laptop. This weekend I worked at a prom. and as always I arrive at the event about an hour or two early, so i can set up my easel with calm, and maybe sketch some stuff until the contracted time starts. well, I didn't get to do that on saturday. Drawing Caricatures for entertainment at events is fun, but like i said, my life feels whole when i draw in my sketchbook. Sunday, I went to my big brotha's company picnic, and I didn't get to sketch there either, i was really zoned out. Dammit.
Sunday evening, i got to go pick up my paintings from alphacult.com the art gallery where my last art show was. When I got home, my parents were just popping in "Cloverfield" man, that got some juices flowing. So i sketched this out. Wish i coulda done more though. Let's see how productive this week goes.

Photoshop inking, inspired by Gabe from Penny arcade.

Man, I have always struggled to ink stuff in Photoshop, I was starting to think i was retarded. So, I was watching this vid from Gabe of Penny arcade fame, and, he had a tutorial. well, all i did, was set my wacom preffs to "stiff" or at least, one notch before stiff, and it made a world of difference.
Here is his vid, check it out.

And here was my result.

Working hard, to provides us with "electricity".

I friend's dad actually works for California Edison, and he commissioned me to bust this out for him. It's an inside joke between the guys at work. One of the guys is called the Silverback. He's one of the guys that climbs up the poles to fix the lines that provide us all with electricity.

This week's work at LG.

This weeks work.

Late night drawing.
